CINCINNATI - Volunteers from 12 Cincinnati Lowe’s Home Improvement stores came together for a downtown beautification project just in time for the World Choir Games.

Seventy-five volunteers were in the downtown business district Thursday morning working with the Keep Cincinnati Beautiful Future Blooms program.

On behalf of the program, volunteers began an art installation project at the corner of Broadway and 3rd streets.

The work of art is a colorful series of weaved nylon and fabric through the gaps of a chain-link fence.

Volunteers also painted more than 120 poles and parking meters in the business district.

The restoration and art installation will be completed just in time for the World Choir Games.

The World Choir Games will take place from July 4 to July 14. WCPO is the official television sponsor of the World Choir Games. For information on ticket prices and performances visit http://2012worldchoirgames.com/ .
