Cincinnati Reds visit the zoo and meet fans

CINCINNATI - On Thursday, you can check out some neat animals at the Cincinnati Zoo and meet some Cincinnati Reds players at the same time.

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is hosting its fifth annual Reds Day at the Zoo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Zack Cozart, Chris Heisey and Mat Latos will be taking part in a Q&A from noon to 1 p.m. in the Wings of Wonder Theater. Also, you wouldn't want to miss your chance to get your picture taken with the most famous Reds of all, the mascots. Mr. Red, Rosie Red and Gapper will be roaming around the park.

On Thursday evening, the Cincinnati Zoo will be traveling to Great American Ball Park. There will be a pre-game animal parade and Sam the Cincinnati Zoo's Bald Eagle will fly during the National Anthem.  You can check out some zoo mascots in the Fan Zone before the game along with some of the zoo's Outreach Animals.

Friends of the Zoo can enjoy half-priced tickets for select seating at the Reds Game as they take on the Pittsburgh Pirates.
