CINCINNATI - A local landlord is appealing a ruling that she discriminated against a black girl by posting a 'White Only' sign at a swimming pool.

In September, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission found that Jamie Hein violated the Ohio Civil Rights Act, when she posted that sign at a duplex.

The parents of a black teenager who was visiting the duplex filed the discrimination charge.

Several witnesses confirmed that the landlord posted the sign, and said it was because the girl's hair chemicals would make the pool "cloudy."

The Civil Rights Commission isĀ  scheduled to hear Hein's appeal on Thursday in Columbus.
