CINCINNATI - A family is displaced after a fire raged at a multi-occupancy residence in East Price Hill Sunday afternoon.

Initial arriving units from the Cincinnati Fire Department reported light smoke escaping from the second floor of the occupied two-story dwelling.

A total of 31 firefighters were able to extinguish the one-alarm blaze within 10 minutes of arriving at the scene, acting District Chief Michael Battle said.

Most occupants were able to exit the structure on their own after being alerted by smoke detectors inside the building, but some residents did require assistance from firefighters.

No injuries to occupants or firefighters were reported.

The American Red Cross was called to assist in the relocation of one family that was displaced by the fire.

Damage to the property is estimated at approximately $6,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The address of the location was not provided.
