CINCINNATI - A local woman accused of killing her boyfriend more than a year ago is scheduled to appear in a Hamilton County courtroom Thursday.

Caitlin Matheson is charged with murder for the shooting death of her boyfriend, 26-year-old Quincy Shaw, who was found shot in the chest at a Mt. Healthy apartment on Clovernook Avenue in April of 2011.

Prior to being charged with murder, Matheson was arrested for providing misleading information about the crime.
Matheson initially blamed intruders for his death, stating that two men forced their way into the apartment through a sliding glass door and fatally shot Shaw.

During her hearing, Matheson is expected to change her plea or have a trial date set. Matheson is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m.
