Bond hearing for alleged Ohio pill mill couple

CINCINNATI (AP) - A judge plans to hear arguments for and against revoking the bond of an Ohio couple accused of hiding income while facing federal charges of illegally distributing prescription pain pills.

The couple, Nancy and Lester Sadler, are free on their own recognizance but face the possibility of going to jail ahead of their trial involving an alleged pill mill in southern Ohio.

U.S. District Court Judge Sandra Beckwith planned to hear arguments Monday afternoon in Cincinnati.

The government, which wants the bonds revoked, says the couple lied about their income while receiving court-appointed attorneys and frequently visited out-of-state casinos, spending thousands.

The couple's attorneys say the Sadlers followed conditions laid out by the government and their bond didn't require them to disclose a change in their finances.
