KINGS MILL, Ohio - The Cincinnati Bomb Squad responded to a report of a possible mortar at a home in Kings Mill Wednesday evening.

The incident happened in the 5400 block of Oak Street where police say they found a mortar inside a residence.

Terry Redder, the owner of the home, told 9 News she and her son were renovating the basement when they found the mortar. Redder said the house was vacant for the past year and a half.

Police evacuated the street Oak Street while the bomb squad worked the clear the scene. The bomb squad tested and safely disposed the device.

No one was injured in the process.
