HAMILTON, Ohio - Fire authorities in Hamilton are trying to determine the cause of a fire at an historic business that took more than two hours to extinguish early Thursday morning.
Firefighters responded at approximately 2:30 a.m. to Brewers Coffee Shop in the 700 block East Avenue in Hamilton and found a deep-seated fire in the wall of the structure, said Deputy Chief Jeff Shaw.
A large portion of the building was ripped away in order to extinguish the blaze, Shaw said. No one was in the building at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured. Damage is estimated to be $10,000.
The property is valued at $33,280, according to the Butler County Auditor’s website.
