Benjamin Senseman sentenced to 6 years in prison for death of his infant daughter

BURLINGTON, Ky. - A Northern Kentucky man will spend the next six years in prison for the 2009 death of his infant daughter.
Benjamin Senseman, 32, originally confessed to the murder of his 2-month-old daughter, Chloe, but a judge determined the confession came under coercion and overturned a conviction that had Senseman facing 15 years in prison.
Senseman still pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter and second degree criminal abuse, and was sentenced Wednesday afternoon in a Boone County courtroom.
Emergency crews were called to Senseman's Princess Court home in Hebron in July 2009 for a baby who was not breathing. Crews transported Chloe to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Florence where she was pronounced dead. The medical examiner determined the child died from head trauma.
An autopsy showed Chloe also had broken legs and several broken ribs.
Senseman's wife was charged with child abuse but was later acquitted.
