CINCINNATI - Authorities say Wednesday evening's storms were responsible for at least three structure fires in the Tri-State.
The first fire happened at the Steele Chase Apartments on Montgomery Road in Loveland, Ohio, around 5 p.m. Police say one apartment unit was struck by lightning. Firefighters managed to quickly put out the flames.
No injuries were reported and minimal damage was done to the building.
A second fire broke out around 5:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Delhi Pike. Authorities say a generator caught fire during the storm. Duke Energy was called to the scene, since oil was a factor in the fire. The fire was put out around 8 p.m. No injuries were reported.
The third fire happened on Lantana Drive in Liberty Township. Authorities say lightning is the likely cause of the fire that destroyed the roof of a home. No one was injured.
All three fires remain under investigation.
