BETHEL, Ohio - A 21-year-old Amelia woman was killed in a single-car crash Saturday morning.

The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on Bethel Hygiene Road in Clermont County.

Police said Heather Batchler was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary police investigation said Batchler was traveling east on Bethel Hygiene Road, when the car went off the right side in a curve and continued off the left side of the road. The car then overturned in a creek and was partially submerged.

Authorities said she was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
