About $170K in marijuana confiscated in Brown County

Georgetown, Ohio - State and county officials removed dozens of marijuana plants from Brown County last week, according to a release from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification teamed up to remove 170 marijuana plants in the area Aug. 2 and 3.

Sheriff Dwayne Wenninger said in a statement that the plants were located throughout the county and that the plants would have been worth $170,000 when mature.

Anyone with information about illegal drug activity in Brown County is asked to call the drug information hotline at (937) 378-4435, Ext. 275.
