CINCINNATI - A woman who reported being confronted by a gunman in a University of Cincinnati parking garage earlier this month has recanted her allegation.
On Nov. 5 the woman told university police that she was confronted by a male suspect armed with a handgun in the Calhoun Garage in University Heights at about 5:30 p.m. She told police that the suspect fondled her breasts, but she punched him and fled the scene.
But university police released a statement Monday that the account was false.
“There was no offense that occurred and the report was fabricated,” according to the statement.
No further details about the incident were released.
