CINCINNATI - If you want to get rid of all those political signs in your own yard or along the road and raise money for a good cause at the same, a bipartisan event Wednesday is just your chance.

The Democratic and Republican parties of Hamilton County are participating in “Campaign-A-Way,” an event scheduled at Japp’s On Main in Over-the-Rhine.

During the event, anyone may drop off left-over political signs at the bar. They will be recycled into water-resistant blankets for people who are homeless.

Those who donate sign material will receive discounts and offers to area dining establishments. The goal is to have the blankets done in time to distribute at the Fall Feast event at the Duke Energy Convention Center later this month.

The event will be held from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at Japp’s, 1134 Main St.
