WESTWOOD - A busy intersection in Westwood is temporarily closed after a vehicle struck a mother and her child Wednesday morning.

Police dispatchers report the accident occurred at Glenmore and Montana avenues, near the UDF convenience store.

The mishap occurred shortly before noon, and neither the mother nor her child was seriously injured. Police continue to investigate at the scene.
