BATAVIA, Ohio - A Clermont County man pleaded guilty Thursday to sexually torturing children and received a 20-year sentence.
Michael Tringelof, 43, agreed to the plea deal Thursday morning after he was indicted in June for allegedly kidnapping a 9-year-old boy and confining and torturing him in Tringelof’s mother’s home in the 5700 block of Linden Drive in Miami Township.
Also, later that month, six other alleged victims came forward with similar accusations against Tringelof — that they were kidnapped and tortured by him in the house's basement.
In July, a Clermont County grand jury indicted Tringelof on 33 additional counts — 15 counts of kidnapping, nine counts of abducting and nine counts of endangering children.
Tringelof will serve 20 years in jail and must also register as a tier 3 sex offender.
