CINCINNATI - The suspect accused of stabbing a security guard in the Hilton Netherland Plaza Hotel downtown waived his right to appear in court for a second arraignment after allegedly stabbing a security guard and leaving his body in a stairwell.

On Dec. 7, police officers responded to the hotel located at 35 West Fifth Street around 5 a.m. after receiving a report of a deceased hotel employee. Upon arrival, police located the body of Richard Campbell, 58, deceased in a stairwell from an apparent stab wound.

Cincinnati police arrested Joseph Tucker Jr. Dec. 14 for the stabbing murder of Campbell, a security guard at the hotel. At an initial arraignment Tucker's bond was set at $1 million.

Tucker's attorney says he suffers from mental issues and is currently homeless.

Tucker was scheduled to be in court at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning where he was expected to enter a plea on the charges of aggravated murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary.

His next court date is scheduled for 8:45 on Jan. 15 in Judge Jody Luebber's courtroom.
