This weekend ghouls and goblins will join the animals at the Cincinnati zoo. HallZOOween begins Saturday morning at the zoo.

HallZOOween runs from Oct. 6-7, Oct. 13-14 and Oct. 20-21. The scary fun is open to guests noon until 5 p.m. each day.

HallZOOween includes trick-or-treat stations for the kids, special animal encounters, Phil Dalton's Theater of Illusion Show, Hogwarts Express Train Ride, and the Scare-ousel. HallZOOween is free with zoo admission. Costumes are encouraged for the kids.

On Thursday, the Cincinnati Zoo's three Asian elephants will kick off HallZOOween by smashing pumpkins filled with treats. The pumpkin smash begins at 10:30 a.m. You can see the elephant pumpkin smash during HallZOOween, along with tiger pumpkin play, polar bear pumpkin fun and a snow monkey pumpkin party.
