COLERAIN TWP., Ohio - Two sheriff’s deputies had a shootout with suspects early Thursday morning in the parking lot of a Colerain Township bar.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies were working an off-duty security detail at Bottoms Up Tavern, 8325 Colerain Ave., when the incident occurred around 2 a.m. The deputies saw two unidentified suspects exchanging gunfire with each other in the bar’s parking lot, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
When the deputies approached the suspects, they were fired upon, police reports indicated. Deputies returned gunfire and the suspects fled.
No injuries were reported.
The Colerain Township Police Department also responded to the scene.
The suspects were described as black males in their early 20s.
A shooting also occurred at the bar in December.
