UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio - An area dental clinic will offer free dental services to people on Wednesday morning.

Afinia Dental will offer a free exam, cleaning, x-ray, and a filling or extraction to people who attend the event.

It will be held from 7:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Afinia’s Eastgate location, in Clermont County’s Union Township.

It’s the fourth year that Afinia has offered free services on the day before Thanksgiving. Three dentists and dozens of staff members will be on-hand to help people.

One-third of Americans are living without dental insurance and 75 percent of Third World nations do not have funds essential to support dental services, making such free events more crucial than ever, Afinia staffers said.

“Without the generous donations of many new local businesses and many of the same community partners that helped us last year, this event would not be possible,” said Lori Martinello, Afinia’s supervising manager.

This year’s partners include Lincoln College, which will transport student dental assistants, massage therapists and medical technicians that will assist in the day’s effort.

Donations from Everything Bagels, Dunkin’ Donuts, Crest, GC American, 3M, Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt, Panera Bread and Chick-Fil-A will help Afinia serve patients who could be waiting for several hours waiting to be treated this year.

Afinia is located at 792 Eastgate South Drive.
