CINCINNATI - Cincinnati residents will need to find another way to dispose of yard waste beginning Jan. 17.
The city is suspending all curbside pickup of yard waste, but regular garbage pickup will not be affected.
Officials urge residents and business owners to find other ways to get rid of the waste. One way is to utilize waste drop-off sites across Hamilton County.
When possible, the waste could also be used as mulch or put into a compost.
Below is a list of drop-off sites:
West Fork Solid Waste Facility
3320 Mill Creek Road , South Cumminsville, For Cincinnati residents only.
Accessible off Spring Grove Avenue and off Beekman Street. Open year-round Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (excluding holidays)
Bzak Landscaping
3295 Turpin Lane (off Rt. 32), Anderson Township
Jan. 8 and Jan. 15, 2011, from noon until 3 p.m.
Opening again in Spring.
Kuliga Park
6717 Bridgetown Road , Green Township
Jan. 8 and Jan. 15, 2011, from noon until 3 p.m.
Opening again in Spring.
Rumpke Landfill
Struble Road and Colerain Avenue , Colerain Township
January 8 and January 15, 2011, from noon until 3 p.m.
Opening again in Spring.
