CINCINNATI -

Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati is hiring for another 400 jobs in preparation for its opening next spring.

More than 45 unique job descriptions, which will be filled by about 400 people, are being posted Friday on the casino’s website.

Casino officials have committed to hire at least 90 percent of its workforce from Greater Cincinnati.

Jobs being filled include positions in accounting, finance, facilities, slots and security.

Also, the casino is seeking about a dozen people for culinary positions including accomplished chefs, sous chefs and restaurant managers to operate the property’s in-house dining and banquet venues such as Jack Binion’s Steak, which was announced earlier this week.

Recruiting for cooks, servers, and other food and beverage positions will begin in December.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, be a high school graduate or possess a GED equivalent and provide prior work history. Resumes are not required but may prove helpful in the screening process.

Job seekers must also be flexible to work nights, weekends and holidays; and be willing to submit to all pre-employment requirements including a criminal background check, drug test and regulatory licensing requirements.

Horseshoe is partnering with community organizations to offer computer access to applicants.  Free computer and Internet access is available at the Super Jobs Center, located at 1916 Central Parkway; and at the Community Action Agency, 1740 Langdon Farm Road.

To apply for positions, visit Horseshoe Cincinnati’s website .
