CINCINNATI - A bus struck a 9 News van Friday morning during a live news conference.

A GoBus struck the van as it was trying to pull into the Greyhound station at the corner of E. Court Street and Gilbert Avenue during a news conference on the deck collapse at the new Horseshoe Casino construction site around 12:15 p.m.

No was injured as a result of the accident, but the 9 News van was pushed back around a foot as a result of the collision.

Minor damage was sustained to the front left bumper of the van and the right side panel of the bus.

Other busses had made the turn during the time surrounding the conference, but it appeared this bus had cut the turn short, causing the collision.

The female driver of the bus, Joann Searles, honked several times while 9 News was broadcasting the conference on live TV. She then backed the bus up, got out of the bus and forced the conference to move.

"If this group of people would have moved out of my way I would not have ran into this truck," said Searles.

"We still have a job to do, and I understand you all got a job to do, but I still got a job to do, I got passengers on this bus," said Searles.

"The administrators of GoBus are aware of the situation and are taking immediate steps to investigate the incident," a supervisor with GoBus said.

The crash remains under investigation.
