MOSCOW, Ohio - Disaster survivors affected by the devastating tornadoes that hit areas of Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee on March 2, 2012, may be eligible for assistance through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati Disaster Reconstruction Program. The Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati (FHLBank) unveiled the $5 million fund to aid households that suffered damage to their homes. Households can qualify for a grant of up to $20,000 toward reconstruction, acquisition or repair for their primary residence.
The funds were approved by the FHLBank's Board of Directors following the tornadoes that ripped through areas of the South and Midwest. Applications for funds will be accepted beginning May 1, 2012. Complete details on eligibility and use of funds are available at the FHLBank's web site, www.fhlbcin.com .
