2 teens involved in police pursuit

WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Two teens are facing numerous charges after leading a Hamilton County deputy on a car chase shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Troopers say the teens - a white female, age 17 and a white male, age 16 - were wanted in connection to a theft from the United Dairy Farmers in Harrison, Ohio. The 1996 blue Ford Taurus the teens were in also matched the description of a vehicle that was reported stolen.

After failing to pull over for a traffic stop, the female driver veered left of center then accelerated speed. The driver continued northbound on Lawrenceburg Road until she lost control and exited the right side of the road.

Both suspects fled the vehicle and ran into the woods until but were later apprehended by the K-9 unit.

There were no injuries to either juvenile at the time of the crash.

The 17-year-old driver is being charged with felony fleeing and eluding, drug instruments and resisting.

The 16-year-old male passenger was charged with resisting.

Both subjects were transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Court Youth Center.
