The holiday shopping sprint is on and fitness gadgets are everywhere, but don't forget about the basic -- and reasonably priced -- options. Here are 10 ideas for stuff that often can be purchased for $25 or less:
1. Yoga mat on which to stretch, strengthen and chill.
2. Stretch bands to elongate.
3. Pedometer to track steps -- been getting your 10,000 steps a day?
4. Stability ball. You can incorporate it into your workout, or to replace your chair.
5. Athletic socks. Guys especially hang onto old socks too long.
6. Light weights. Hefting a little weight can go a long way to add muscle and maintain bone density.
7. Frisbee. Hey, it's still fun, and social. Maybe get into a league?
8. Soccer ball or any ball for that matter. Another social way to exercise.
9. Jump rope, a retro aerobic workout.
10. Exercise DVD, which can help guide you through a quick home workout.
