Some 10,000 people turned out to Yeatman's Cove Sunday to help fight breast cancer.
The "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" 5k walk is the American Cancer Society's signature fundraiser to fight the disease.
Funds collected will help pay for mammograms, support programs and education.
"Breast cancer survivors always say they like coming down here because there are thousands of people walking to help them beat the disease," says PR Director Peter Osborne. "It's really emotional and uplifting."
Last year's walk raised more than $610 thousand.
