CINCINNATI - One worker remains in serious condition Monday morning as a result of injuries sustained in the deck collapse at the new Horseshoe Casino construction site.

The worker remains in serious condition at University Hospital. Their name and the extent of their injuries have not been released.

Messer Construction tells 9 News there are four other employees who are recovering from various orthopedic injuries.

All are expected to make a full recovery but will need various levels of rehab.

Engineers and OSHA investigators were at the site over the weekend to investigate the cause of the incident and secure the existing structure.

A 60 X 60 foot portion of the casino floor collapsed Friday morning as concrete was being poured.

Thirteen workers in all were injured as they fell about 30 feet.

A spokesperson for Messer Construction released a statement about the investigation of the incident: "All involved are working around the clock to support the injured workers and their families, the ongoing OSHA investigation and make preparations for resuming work on the jobsite."
