CINCINNATI - Police have identified the driver killed in a deadly crash in Mt. Airy Wednesday.
The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. on Colerain Avenue near Raeburn Drive when a silver Chrysler Pacifica SUV driven by 29-year-old Jessica Green went left of center and collided head-onĀ with a white Econoline van.
Police say Green, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the van, Glen Ellis, 63, was trapped inside the van and was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.
His two passengers, Walter Hamilton, 54, as well as a four-year-old boy suffered minor injuries. Hamilton was also taken to University Hospital and the boy was taken to Children's Hospital.
Police tell 9 News the boy was in a wheelchair and that the van Ellis was driving is used to transport disabled people.
Police shut down Colerain Avenue in both directions as a result of the crash. the road is fully open now.
Speed is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
