1 injured after ODOT vehicle slides off road, snaps utility pole in half

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio - An Ohio Department of Transportation employee was injured after sliding off a Clermont County roadway Saturday morning.

Local authorities confirm to 9 On Your Side the ODOT vehicle and driver slid off and snapped a utility pole in half in the 1400 block of Ohio 133 in Franklin Township at approximately 5 a.m.

The accident is approximately 3 miles north of Felicity, Ohio.

An electric transformer was damaged as a result of the accident, according to emergency personnel.

The driver suffered a head injury but authorities have not released the severity of his injuries at this time.

Duke Energy utility crews have been dispatched to the scene.
