CLEVELAND, Ohio - Interviews are underway at Horseshoe Casino in Cleveland to fill about 700 positions. The invitation-only hiring event began Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena and will continue through Friday.
The Horseshoe recruiting team will meet with nearly 3,300 applicants to select the casino’s future security, administration, guest services, retail and facilities personnel.
The casino has committed to hire at least 90 percent of its workforce from the Cleveland area.
"People in this community continue to astound us with their enthusiasm to work at Horseshoe Cleveland," said the casino's vice president of Human Resources, Karen Kaminski. "Since recruiting efforts began last fall, we have received more than 36,000 applications for the casino's 1,600 new jobs."
For most of the open positions, selected candidates will receive offers on the spot at the event.
About 600 dealer candidates are already attending the Horseshoe Cleveland Dealer Service Academy. This 12-week training program began in early December.
