CINCINNATI - Can you just put down your cell phone? Leave it at home while you take a walk? It could drop your stress level.

During a time when it seems some people are physically attached to their cellphones, a growing body of research shows how constantly using your phone can create tension in your life.

Researchers say that some people feel  they need their cellphones every minute because they have a fear of missing out.

Cellphones are also linked to mental health and sleeping problems.

Experts say you can cut down on your stress level by taking a forced break from your cellphone.  Try working out without your phone or leaving it in the car when you're at dinner with friends.
