If losing weight is on your list of 2013 resolutions, you may find it hard to give up your favorite junk foods. Now science may have explanation for why.
Researchers from the University of Montreal found the feelings you experience when quitting junk food are similar to the ones experienced in drug withdrawal.
Those diet changes could lead to stress and withdrawal symptoms if you switch to a healthier diet, according to the new study.
The study is published in the International Journal of Obesity.
