CINCINNATI - You know you should resist ice cream and candy, but is sugar as bad for you as alcohol?

Three leading obesity researchers from California are arguing that sugar in all forms is as dangerous as a controlled substance, such as alcohol or cigarettes.

The researchers are advocating for  worldwide sugar  regulations.

The experts say this comes after a 2010 united nations study that shows for the first time people are dying from "lifestyle diseases," including obesity.
