Did you miss our first flu chat? 9 On Your Side hosted a second a chat with a University Medical Center doctor and other experts to answer questions you may have about the flu.

This year's flu outbreak has reached severe levels in many parts of the Tri-State, and it has led to many questions: Why is this year's outbreak so bad? How effective are flu shots? What else can be done to avoid contracting the illness?

From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. WCPO.com hosted a LIVE chat with medical professionals to help answer those questions and any other inquiries viewers had about this year's influenza outbreak. Those comments are available to read below.

For more information on the flu and this year's outbreak, check out our flu special section at http://www.wcpo.com/generic/news/health/healthy_living/Flu .
