Kids are gearing up to collect a big haul of candy while trick-or-treating. But the Halloween treats your child brings home may be packing more calories than you think.
Health experts estimate the average Halloween candy collection adds up to between 3,500 and 7,000 calories.
Donna Arnett, a professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health, says it would take 44 hours of walking for the average kid to burn it all off.
