ATLANTA - According to findings released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more Americans are walking regularly to get in shape, but we need to pick up the pace.
Sixty two percent of adults say they walked at least 10 minutes or more a week in 2010, that's up six percent from 2005.
But, even with the gains in walking, only 48 percent of U.S. adults get enough exercise to improve their health.
The CDC recommends two-and-a-half hours of "moderate to intense aerobic physical activity" each week.
