LEESBURG, Va. - Forget Christmas lights — Halloween light displays are growing in popularity and one Virginia home is using the ubiquitous “Gangnam Style” song set to twinkling lights to gain Internet fame.

A Leesburg, Va., house adorned with 8,500 bulbs features jack-o-lantern-like faces singing PSY’s “Gangnam Style” and the video posted on YouTube is going viral. More than 380,000 people had viewed the video online as of Wednesday morning.

Brandon Bullis set up the light display to the delight of his 12-, 10- and 6-year-old children, he told the Washington Post . It took about a year for Bullis to set up the display with the help of computer programming from Light-O-Rama . He said he didn’t decide to play “Gangnam Style” until recently.

The house showcases a total of 13 songs and animations, which include “Ghostbusters,” ”Monster Mash” and Marilyn Manson’s “This is Halloween.”

The music can be heard through a low-power FM transmitter and some rules were even posted on the display’s Facebook page in a move to respect the neighbors.

This is not the first Halloween light display getting online attention after a California home had a similar display singing LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” during the 2011 holiday.
