Discount doughnuts to celebrate Krispy Kreme's birthday

Krispy Kreme is celebrating its 75th birthday Friday. And the chain is inviting you to join in on the celebration with discount doughnuts.

The first shop opened on July 13 in Winston- Salem, N.C. in 1937. T here are now nearly 700 Krispy Kreme stores in 21 countries. The doughnuts are sold in grocery stores and gas stations nationwide as well.

The company website says in honor of the occasion, you can get one dozen original glazed doughnuts today for 75 cents. But this offer is only valid at Krispy Kreme stores.

Unfortunately, there are no stores in the greater Cincinnati area. But there are locations in Kettering and Columbus, Ohio, as well as in Lexington and Louisville, Ky.
