CINCINNATI - More than 100 people were spinning their wheels to make strides in the fight against breast cancer.

The seventh annual Spin for the Cure took place Saturday at Cintas Center, which is located on the campus of Xavier University. Spin enthusiasts rode their bikes for up to four hours to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.

Organizer Vickie Magliano started the event after two of her friends were diagnosed with breast cancer.

"Once you get in that zone and everybody's energy, you forget about the pain, anything holding you back," Magliano said. "This is the time for them to just do it."

Proceeds from the event benefit breast cancer victims in the Cincinnati area.
