CINCINNATI -

A 1500-gallon nitrogen tank at Queen City Steel on Spring Grove leaked nitrogen into the air. About ten residents to the east and the south of the building were evacuated.

Cincinnati Police worked with 42 firefighters to isolate the area and allow the nitrogen to evaporate. Spring Grove and nearby streets were closed until 6:00 a.m.

Copper thieves may be to blame for the leak. The exact cause is still under investigation.

Liquid nitrogen can be deadly when breathed in.
