GARY, Ind. - A 10-month-old boy was injured after falling from a third-story apartment window in northwestern Indiana.
Gary police said the boy fell on Tuesday and that his mother was sleeping inside the apartment when the incident happened.
A resident of an apartment on the first floor called an ambulance after hearing the baby’s cries.
The baby was hospitalized, but officials did not release his condition.
Investigators said they believe the baby’s fall was accidental and not a result of neglect, and that the window from which he fell apparently had a loose screen.
