NEW YORK - Billionaire entrepreneur and reality TV star Donald Trump is offering to make a large charitable donation if  President Obama releases certain of his personal records.

In an announcement made on the Internet at noon Wednesday, Trump said he would donate $5 million to a charity or charities of Obama's choosing if the president releases his college application and college records, along with his passport application.

Trump has said he agrees with some conservatives that question whether Obama was born in the United States. Obama previously has released his birth certificate to dispel such rumors, but they persist.
