CINCINNATI - Beer drinkers of America rejoice!
According to analysts at Swiss bank UBS, it takes the least amount of time to earn a beer in the United States.
Out of 150 countries studied, researchers found it takes Americans just five minutes on the job to earn a beer. That equals 96 beers over an eight-hour workday or 480 beers over a 40-hour workweek.
The analysis looked at median hourly wages and average beer prices at retail outlets like grocery stores or liquor stores, not prices at bars.
On average, it takes a typical worker of the world 20 minutes to earn a beer.
Other countries do have cheaper beer prices than the United States, but median hourly wages are much higher in the U.S.
