A girl's call for help on Twitter has drawn global attention.
Kara Alongi, a 16-year-old from New Jersey, gained thousands of followers after Tweeting " There is somone in my hour ecall 911" Sunday.
Alongi was then listed as missing.
Police told NBC New York that they believe the teen likely left her home voluntarily and that they don't believe Alongi is in any physical danger.
According to the report, thousands re-tweeted her message and the hashtag #helpfindkara was trending on the social network.
NBC 4 New York reports police responded to Alongi's home Sunday evening. When the media outlet called her home for comment, someone quickly answered and said "no comment."
The investigation is ongoing.
