CHARDON, Ohio - A 17-year-old charged with aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder and felonious assault stemming from a deadly shooting at an Ohio school has made a court appearance.
T.J. Lane appeared Tuesday before a juvenile judge in Chardon.
The judge explained to him that the case could be sent to adult court for trial.
Judge Tim Grendell postponed that hearing from March 19 until April 3 because two new attorneys have joined the defense team.
No plea was attended at Tuesday's hearing, which was attended by Lane's custodial grandparents.
Prosecutors say Lane has admitted to investigators that he opened fired last week on students in the cafeteria of Chardon High School, east of Cleveland. Three students were killed and three others were wounded.
The motive for the shootings remains unclear.
