INDIANAPOLIS - Police patrolling the communities devastated by this month's tornadoes have made a string of scrap metal theft arrests.

On Thursday, Sabrina Bradley, of New Albany, was found outside the Washington County Rural Telephone Company building, loading reels of black and copper wire into her car, police said.

She was arrested on preliminary charges of theft from a telecommunications provider, receiving stolen property and false informing.

On Friday, Darrell and Debora Crone, of New Albany, were arrested in the area of Voyles Road just north of State Road 60 in Washington County after police said they determined the couple stole scrap metal from several locations in the tornado disaster area.

They were each preliminarily charged with theft. Debora Crone also faces charges of possession of a prescription drug and possession of a controlled substance.

On Sunday, Douglas Sizemore and David Sizemore were arrested in Clark County after police said they stole scrap metal from near Henryville.

They were each preliminarily charged with theft and criminal trespass.
