MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - An alert for Tri-State vacationers headed to Myrtle Beach for Father's Day weekend.
Myrtle Beach police reported sharks bit four people in the ocean Thursday, all within a 30-minute period.
The victims were reportedly bitten Thursday on their feet and calves. One witness said a victim was in chest-deep water with his girlfriend when the attack happened.
Experts said Friday the sharks aren’t that big of a threat and estimated you’re more likely to be hit by a falling coconut than being bit. They said the bites probably came from different sharks chasing fish for food.
