1 person dead after Dayton house fire

DAYTON, Ohio - One woman is dead after a house fire in Dayton, Ohio, Wednesday morning.

Police say the fire broke out at around 4:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of Germantown Street.  There were no visible flames when crews arrived at the scene but, once crews entered the structure flames erupted.

When firefighters forced their way inside the home, they found two women near the door.  One of the women died on the way to the hospital. The other woman is in stable condition at Miami Valley Hospital.

Early indications suggest the fire is accident but, crews are still on scene trying to determine the cause.  They believe it started in the bedroom.

The victims' names have not been released.

Officials have not released any additional details at this time.
