CINCINNATI - Forget the sugary syrups and messy powders ... the Got Milk Magic Milk Straws promise flavored milk without the mess. So we put them to the test for Try It Out Tuesday.

The straws come in five flavors: strawberry, cookies and cream, vanilla milkshake, strawberry banana and the subject of our test: chocolate.

Each has "magic beads" of flavor that mix with plain white milk when you use the straw. They don't need to be refrigerated and are lactose and gluten free.

And while they're also mess free, our kid and adult testers agree that the flavor is good, though not as intense as standard glass of flavored milk.

We even doubled up on the straws, which seemed to help, but at $2 per six pack, that flavor could get expensive.

One tester suggested it might be an easy way to trick kids into drinking more milk.

As always, this is an unscientific test with unscientific results.
